All LUSSO MISTO fine cashmere throws, blankets, pillows and fabric are thoughtfully crafted by hand in Northern Italy, the birthplace of style and refinement.
Where in Northern Italy?
Biella, town of only 46,000 is nestled at the foot of the Italian Alps and has small Alpine rivers and lakes surrounding it. These Alpine rivers carry the soft water that washes the fine fibers produced in this area. This soft water is what Biella is known for and has made it home to the world’s premier makers of woolen fabrics, the ultra-luxurious kind used by international luxury brands including Louis Vuitton, Fendi, and Gucci.
WHY CASHMERE?

Cashmere fibers are collected from cashmere goats, pashmina goats, and some other breeds of goat where it has been used to make yarn, textiles and clothing for hundreds of years.
Cashmere is harvested just once a year, usually in May, when the goats are naturally starting to shed; herders either clip or comb out the fibers when the goats molt. LUSSO MISTO sources only combed fibers for our fabrics, due to their long length and superior quality.
After the raw fibers are cleaned, they are then dyed (if needed) and woven into the fabric of choice, where it is then put through an extensive finishing process, adding even more softness and luster.
