A Look at How Lusso Misto Approaches Environmental and Ethical Responsibility
In a world where sustainability claims are often overstated, Lusso Misto offers something different: thoughtful design, traceable materials, and enduring quality. Our luxury cashmere collections are made in Italy, from 100% natural fibers, using low-impact processes that prioritize both people and planet.
This isn’t fast fashion with a new label. It’s slow, intentional work, made to last for generations.
Rooted in Responsibility
Lusso Misto pieces are entirely made in Italy, where robust labor and environmental laws set a high standard for responsible production. Fair wages, safe working conditions, and highly skilled artisanship are non-negotiables in our supply chain. We partner only with mills and dyers that share these values—and it shows in the integrity of every piece.
Natural, Renewable, and Traceable
We use 100% natural, renewable cashmere and offer SFA-certified yarns for clients who seek verified sourcing. For a softer ecological footprint, we offer custom pieces in undyed natural fibers like Ivory, Ecru, and Latte—free of added chemicals and true to the origin of the fiber.
For those desiring color, we offer plant-dyed options such as Blue Indigo, created with natural pigment extraction methods. These tones reflect the soft palette of the earth and are designed to age beautifully with time.
Certifications That Matter
All Lusso Misto fabrics are Oeko-Tex® certified, meaning they are tested for and free of harmful substances. Our dye houses use closed-loop water systems, and we meet or exceed European REACH standards for chemical safety and environmental protection.
For custom requests involving fur, we source only certified humane rabbit fur, with documentation available upon request.
Quality Over Recycled Quantity
Recycled cashmere is available for select projects. However, we believe true sustainability is about longevity—not just material reuse. A well-constructed, high-quality blanket that lasts for years is inherently more sustainable than one that needs frequent replacement.
Transparency and Trust
We believe in clarity, not marketing spin. Our supply chain is fully traceable, and we welcome your questions—about fiber sourcing, environmental impact, or how your piece was made. If we don’t offer something you’re looking for, it’s likely because we haven’t found a version that meets our standards yet.
